When I'm In Rome, Can I text??

So I'm going to Rome, Italy, & with a Verizon Wireless RAZR [I have a 750minute family plan&250texts plan], is it going to cost more to text and/or make calls?

Do I need to buy those cards for my phone?

Please help me out here!

if you have international service, then yes.  otherwise no.
