  1. Guessing you have a 2.4 GHz Cordless Phone. This is the same bandwidth is is used by your wireless. When The Phone barges in the wifi politely gets out of the way.

Best solution, get rid of the 2.4 Ghz Phone. You can get a 5.8GHz or a 900 Mhz Phone, which won't interfered with your Wifi.

  2. try to plug in the corde to the house fone all the way in

  3. I can see two possible reasons.

    a) Your phone line which connects your router/WiFi doesn't have filters correctly installed. So every time you pick up the phone, the connection between your modem/router and the ISP is disconnected, which in turn disconnects your wifi connection.

    b) Your phone is a wireless model which uses a non-standard transmission frequencies, and somehow affects the computer's wifi reception.

    (b) is very unlikely. I'd check if there are enough filters for every phone jack in the house.

  4. Relocate the cordless Base away from your wireless router.

Most likely you are using a 2.4GHz cordless phone. Wifi is using the same frequency.
