  1. Do worthwile activities. Hang out with your closest buddies. Make use of your time wisely. Think positive.

  2. hello-

taken from a retired firefighter/emt-I from California's central coast-

when ever we do "scene assesment"- we determine your "loc, -Level of conciousness" sometimes as human beings we in our discovery oof loc, we over-estimate ourselves and are then more zealous to fixing ourselves- this is cool, but.....sometimes we under/over estimate

Beware of this if you think and speak about your condition, then your "loc" is alot  better than you think or believe., so trust me from my uderstanding, you are doing very well,  because heres the hint: you wrote to YA, and even was smart enough to turn the computer on?

  3. blue stay strong and get better.

  4. Come here and I shall give you a healing hug!

  5. Well, as long as your not "tangled up," you should be fine (I know, that was lame...sorry).  Listening to music helps, but I doubt if listen to your own music would do the trick.

Weird Al Yankovic is usually good for banishing the blues....classical, too.  When I'm really down, I'll put on Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, and it often lifts my spirits.

Watching some mindless TV can also help...if you're going to rent some DVDs, your best bets are the Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Car 54 Where Are You, I Love Lucy...that sort of stuff.  You don't want to engage your brain too much, you're trying to sooth it.  But if you really too cool for those shows, pick whatever works for you, but don't go any more sophisticated than either the Simpsons or South Park.

If you have some disposable cash on hand, a trip to the local Off Track Betting facility (or real, live track, if one is close at hand..you still in Minnesota?  I think Canterbury Downs is running now.) will do wonders for you.  Even if you go by yourself, you won't be alone for long.  Horse players are, by nature, a gregarious, very friendly bunch, and are very willing to talk horses and wagering, even to total strangers...if you stay longer than 2-3 hours, you may end up being "one of the guys."

And if all that fails, get online, subscribe to MLB.com TV, and stream some Pittsburgh Pirates baseball....your reaction will be, "And I thought I had it bad.  These gus totally suck."  And before you know it, you'll begin to feel a bit better.

  9. Thaw out. Have a warm shower, put on some jarmies and woolly socks and snuggle under a blanket. Cosy up to a friend by a fire is good too.

  10. Come to my place, and we can cheer each other up....x
