Everytime I either turn up or turn down my computers speakers they make a crackling sound, there is nothing wrong with the connection no holes in the wire visible... What could be causing this I do know they are pretty low quality speakers made by Kinyo.. but it's just wierd how they make a crackling popping sound when I turn k**b to adjust volume up or down? Any ideas?

Thanks

  1. it sounds like your sound card, i had the same problem on my old HP.

you could get a new pci sound card.

im sure you have a regular pci, if your not sure just post a question with your computer model # and im sure someone will find out for you

i would suggest getting one of these

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

newegg.com is very secure i have bought a few things and nothing but great service and shipping

  2. If the k**b is on one of the speakers it's gotten some dirt inside.  You can clean it but it usually requires opening the speaker case.  I'm sure you can get some control cleaner at Radio Shack or similar store.  But you need to know how to spray it so it gets inside the control.  If you can't do it yourself it might be cheaper to replace them as opposed to taking them in and having it done.

  3. The volume potentiometer is dirty(dust on the inside surface).Use a cleaning spray!!!
