When I am in school I don't mind the learning but the social part is kind of what i dont like

i have a lot of friends but most of them go to the other school. i am going into eight grade so the're is only 1 more year until both of the schools merge. But in my school I have a few true friends. I always hang out with them but sometimes when they're absent i don't have much to do at lunch and i don't want to look like a loser or anything (not meant harshly) but yea. I just feel like people think I follow this one person and I really don't want them thinking that. Please help me on what i can do when my friend is absent from school in the halls, homeroom, and lunch.
