When I am taking a driving lesson, is it ok to have passengers in the backseat?

I am currently taking driving lessons and I practice with my dad. My permit requires someone to be 18 or older and licensed sitting next to me in order for me to operate a car. My question is, is it legal to have my brother (who is also taking lessons) to be in the back seat while I am driving?

  1. As far as with family, yes, but I am sure a Driving Instructor would not allow it for the safely reason.  In case you wreck
