  1. It has nothing to do with the guitar. The guitar doesn't make the musician. It's the other way around and a good musician plays on anything. I agree that you are always comfortable to play on your own instruments but it's irrelevant.

    Yngwie Malsteem uses Strats and this is one guy who rocks on Arpeggios and fast riffs.

    Most metal players will play like a Jackson style which is what I use instead of my Gibson '63 Les Paul . It has 24 frets which helps on the high end leads.

    The Strat have a thinner neck thans all most guitars like Jackson, ESP, etc....and not as wide as the person you were showing on youTube.


  2. I think you can use whatever guitar you want.

    If YOU like the sound of a Strat, then play a Strat. Don't pay any attention to what the "guitar police" say.
