When I board the cruise, will all my luggage be searched?

Do they use x-ray machines? What stuff will be prohibited? I'm going on a Carnival cruise leaving from Miami.

Not when you get ON the ship but it's subject to being searched when you return to the U.S.

Why are you dragging everything you own with you anyway.  You can take ANY cruise with a small bag of not more than 40 pounds in weight.

OH... I'll bet you are an Amerikan and they all have seen the movies so they know you take 5 huge suitcases with you.

They just X ray it.. Cruise Line security sucks haha, the guys behind the table probably don't know the difference from a bomb and a toothpick. I don't think you'd call X-raying a search, so nope :)

i'v been on carnival 3 times. on each i smuggled scotch onboard in my checked luggage. many do and i've heard of none being caught. it will save a lot of money.just leave the bottle i ur room and don't leave it out in the open in ur room. the cabin stewart won't turn u in but no need to rub his nose in it.

Yes, your luggage is x-rayed.  Cruise ship screening is just like the airline screening.
