  2. Be more specific, what are the operating systems that are supposedly installed on your system?

  3. 1)Right click on the my computer---->properties-------> advanced------>click on the setting of (startup and recovery)-----------> first select the default operating system from the list  (select which u think working ... change the both timing to 05 sec this for testing.... and restart and dont press any key after 5 sec if ur operating loads perfectly.... then change the both timing to 00 sec..

(2nd step is to risky but i will solve ur problem) Becareful

2)Right click on the my computer---->properties-------> advanced------>click on the setting of (startup and recovery----------->Please click on the edit.....and edit the file (pls look at the last two lines it will be more same)

when u select the os at start which option u select if the up one then delete the last line .... if u select the down os from startt delete the up line and bring the down line to up ok......

if this helps u dont forget to select for best answer..... enjoy

email me if any problem or when done.....bye

  4. If you see 2 OS and if both are different that means that there are  two OS installed on your PC. IF both are same that means during installation of the OS, your pc was shut down and you started the installation again. One is the completely installed OS, other is the incomplete installation. Download Microsoft cleanup utility to remove the incomplete one.

  5. The second choice is either safe mode or system recovery. These are part of Windows XP, and are there to help you fix your computer if the main OS you usually boot into doesn't work. Just choose the one that doesn't have any special words to it like "recovery" "safe mode", etc.

  6. I consider you have Windows XP.

    1) Confirm which option is working an which is not working.

i.e. at "OS system Selection Menu" use UP/Down arrow key to change options and hit Enter Key. Most Probably One of Option must be of corrupt installation.

    2) Right Click "On MY Computer Icon".

    3) Click "Properties" from POP up Menu

    4) Select Advance Tab.

    5) Click on "Settings" button in "Startup and Recovery Section"

    6) You will get Start and Recovery Dilog Box. Click on edit button

    there.

    7) You will get a script in notepad with "boot" as title.

    8) below "[Operating Systems]" line you will get somethig as:

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WI... Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WI... Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

    9) Delete one of lines from above WHICH IS NOT WORKING OPTION. Refer Point 1.

    10) Save the Notepad file & Close it.

    11) Reboot the System. Is it Okay...? Your feed back Please....Enjoy!!
