When I buy a house for cash, is it common for the agency to charge a buyer a administrative fee or commission?

the real estate agent will receive a commission from the seller as is the custom in this state.

  1. It is whatever you agreed to upfront. I have seen it done, because the party was just naive. I have seen buyer premiums added at foreclosure auctions


  2. Was the house listed?  All states are a little different.  Here, the seller pays the commission if a real estate agent is involved.  I hear in some states the buyer pays.

  4. If there is a listing agent, they get paid if it's a cash deal or a deal with a mortgage.  But that is for the seller to pay.  So, NO is your answer.

  5. All states are different.  When you buy for cash, you will have some fees, which should be obvious but not thousands of dollars.
