When I click enable custom content on sims 2, it shows up but my game freezes! Help!?

i click enable custom content, restart the game, everything shows up but when i go to a lot the sims are frozen in the same position as you just created them at the front of the lot, and the clock is frozen too

That happens to me too.  On my username, my sims 2 game doesn't even play anymore. =\
