Okay, this is my problem. When I click on the internet explorer it goes to my yahoo page with my e-mail account. Other people use my computer and I want to make sure they do not get into my personal account information. How do I disenable the internet explorer going straight to my yahoo page. I just want internet explorer to go to the yahoo sign in with the password in stead. Any ideas would be appreciated.

  1. when ur done on the PC...make sure you log off. Or, password protect ur sign on and build an account for guests to use.

    Hope this helps

  2. sounds like you have yahoo set up as your home page. not sure how to, but look to see if u can find a way to change that if u want to.

  3. Every time you are finished with using your yahoo account make sure you sign out and can't nobody use your information if they use your computer. Second go to Google.com or msn.com and find where it says make this your home page and click that and everytime you go on line that will be your homepage. Case closed have a blessed day!!!

  4. Set your homepage to Yahoo! in Internet Explorer:

    1. in the menubar, go to  "Tools" > "Internet Options"

2.on the "General" tab, put "http://www.yahoo.com" (without the quotation marks) in the text box at the top where it says" "Home page"

    3. click "OK"

Make sure you the "Keep signed in for 2 weeks" checkbox is not checked:

When you sign in using your Yahoo! ID and password, your browser can "remember" this information. If you check the "Keep me signed in" box on your Yahoo! sign-in screen, you won't have to sign in each time you come back. (Although we might ask you to re-enter your password if you've been away from the computer for awhile, if you haven’t entered your password recently, or if you are trying to change your password or use your credit card.)

Important: Always remember your Yahoo! ID and password or write them down in a safe place. For your protection, we might ask you to re-enter your Yahoo! ID and password when you access certain personalized services like Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Calendar, or Yahoo! Travel, or when you access your Account Information.

Should I check it or not?

If you're concerned that other people might use the same computer to accidentally see your personalized Yahoo! pages, don't check the "Keep me signed in" box. Also, make sure to click "Sign Out" and close your browser when you leave your computer. This will ensure that we ask for your Yahoo! ID and password the next time you access any of Yahoo!'s personalized services.

If you use a shared computer (in a library, Internet cafe, university, airport, or other common area) do not check the "Keep me signed in" checkbox.

What if I change my mind?

You can sign out of Yahoo!'s personalized services at any time by clicking the "Sign Out" link at the top of each personalized Yahoo! page. Once you've signed out, you can sign in again and choose whether your browser "remembers" or not.

    How does this work?

We’re able to keep you signed in for longer periods of time using a mechanism called persistent cookies. More information can be found in Yahoo!'s Cookies category.

  5. you change ur homepage, by goin 2 another site and clicking "create my homepage" (or something like that)

i know that aol.com can do that, but idk what others do

  6. Change your "homepage" to Google or something!

  7. Set the home page to yahoo.com, and make very sure that you tell yahoo to not save your password when you sign off.  Look at the checkbox under where you type your id and password - the one that says, "keep me signed on for 2 weeks".  If that's checked, uncheck it, or you'll share your mail with anyone that uses a PC after you.

  8. Go to whatever hoempage is your favorite, for example google, mozilla, messengaer or whatever it is you want your internet to open to on a daily. Then you go to the "tools" menu and click into "internet options", the Yahoo website will show up as your homepage and you highlight that and delete it, if you do not want it to be your homepage, which is the page that shows up every time you open up the internet. So if your in the site that you always want it to be in, then you click "use current". That will set your Internet at that page, every time you open it up. Hope that helps, Obi!!!
