These are freshly installed operating systems and they both have the Administrator account as their only user and no passwords.

When I connect my Vista to an XP network, it requires a username and password. I type in Administrator and then click enter and it says "Logon Unsuccesful".

How do I solve this?

  1. The way i fixed this problem was by actually setting a password on the networked computers and then using the passwords to access them over the network.

It seems to be that its looking for a password that doesnt exist so to fix it you have to actually set one.

    i hope this helps
