I have my white Left and Red right audio cables plugged in to the PC plus the yellow video cable and black S-Video cable too but when I try and capture some video, there's no sound! Why is this the case if all my cables are connected?

  1. I'm sorry, we probably need more info:

    1. what are you hooking your cables into?  White and Red cables make it sound like you are using standard RCA but most sound cards do not support that.

    2. you may simply have one of your inputs muted - go to whatever mixing software you are using and see if you need to "uncheck" something.

    3. ensure you are using the correct cable to go from your output to your input.  sometime some manufactures use different pin outs - just because it plugs in does not mean it is the correct one.

Good luck -- with more detail we can help more!
