When I defragment my laptop it comes up with this volume:?

What is it?

It never used to be there.

Two things.....

1. Run antivirus and antispyware on your computer to see if you have picked up a bug. www.avg.com or download malwarebytes from www.download.com.

2. Try defragging in safemode. To access safemode shut down your computer and as soon as you power it back on press F5-F8 back and forth cause depending on what kind of computer you have one of those two will open a prompt menu for you to choose "Safe Mode"

I wouldn't worry too much abt that. I'm pretty sure it was there earlier on, just you didn't notice. it could either be your computer name, which windows gave cuz you id not give it one..On desktop>Rt Clcik My computer>Remote Do you see the same name here??

Or it may be a system restore volume..if using ME/XP/Vista..

If your AV & Anti Spyware soln is up to date, & you scan your computer regularly at least once a week, no need to worry..
