When I do 1471, its my own number, BT landline???

Hi, can anyone help me understand how, when I dialed 1471 on my home land line, I apparently had called myself?

I was not home and cannot work this out, any ideas folk, please!!!

  1. Do you have a home calling card for friends and family?  If you were phoned from one of those, it could possibly come up with your own number on 1471.  That's why you have your own landline on your friends and family list as an extra number....it's for when you've given out one of those call home numbers/cards, and when they're used, you get a friends/family discount.


  2. Why did you dial 1471 from your land line?

  3. I know that if you have one of the voice mail services like 1571 it can leave your own number on your 1471.
