When I dock my iPod

Question

When I dock my iPod on my JBL On Stage 200iD it will not play the music. It will play one song if I start the song before I dock it and after the song is over it stops playing. I also cannot control the iPod while it is docked, either manually or with remote. My iPod is an older version, 15 GB. Help!
