separate the good nutrients from the bad ones. What happens exactly? do the good and bad nutrients enter the body from the intestines.

  1. The inside of your intestine isn't just a smooth tube.

It's covered in little 'fingers' (called 'villi') that rummage through the digested food as it passes, and extract nutrients that your body thinks it needs.

Each 'villus' is chemically targeted to find specific nutrients, and the amount of villi looking for any nutrient will change as your body's needs change.

Unfortunately, a lot of artificial processed food products contain chemicals that 'fool' your villi into thinking they are sucking up the right nutrients when they aren't. This can make the food seem really satisfying, and help to make you want more next time you're hungry. It also makes you hungry sooner, because you're not getting enough genuine nutrition from the food you've eaten.

After dealing with these 'fake foods' for a while, your intestines can become so confused that they start to extract nutrients that you don't need (like hydrogenated fats) in an uncontrolled way.

By eating fresh, unprocessed foods, you can help your intestine to recognise nutrients accurately. Then it will be able to extract only those that it has a genuine need for.

Constant, gentle activity can help too, because this makes your body more aware of its precise nutritional needs throughout the day.

A healthy, well-educated intestine will NOT absorb any nutrient in excess. That includes fats and sugars. When your villi are working well, excess fat and sugar will be ignored, and will exit your body with the rest of your faeces.

  2. lolz it makes no difference wat u eat ur body breaks down everything

the only diffrence is the healthy foods vegies had more benificiall stuff for your body ur stomach breaks it down enters blood stream etc bit complicated basically body breaks down what it can from healthy/junk food uses wat it can then sends the rest away as waste

  3. if your digestive system is functioning normally the body will digest whatever is placed in the stomach.  foods stay in the stomach for about 60 minutes, simple sugars, free form amino acids and short chained fatty acids are absorbed here.  then foods migrate further down the GIT to the small intestines where the majority of the digestion process takes places.
