  1. Dear sir/madam,

First let me tell you.. King's palace in Nepal is just near to Thamel where most of the tourist stay. It takes about 5 min walk to see the palace. However if you want to make a circuit of the Palace then you do it in about 20-30 min. So, there will be no problem for seeing the Palace.

I'm Tenzing and work in Travels and tours in nepal.

  3. Yup, from teh outside you can. But it has high fences around it, so, u might now be able to have a complete view. You can visit the temples and the monasteries instead!

  4. Hello Mogy.

Unless you are person of VIP you can't go inside the gate. But, you can make a round outside of his palace....but it is worthless since you can't see anything across high wall. However, if you just want to glance inside....take a binocular and go to Dahara (highest building in Kathmandu) or from the peek of Syambhu you might see something (i haven't tried it though).

Don't worry...ss always there is alternative...there are palace of ancient kings which now has been converted to museums etc.

  5. You can go by his place, but it's covered with fences and guards.. better luck trying to get into a hindu temple.. Remember that those maoists are still about apparently, so the king has to watch out. I was in Nepal for 6 months, living at a monastery there. It's still my favorite place in the world. Email me if you want some more info about places. Cheers
