  1. Most likely, but it all depends on where you are stationed.

They are trying to go to one person rooms, with two rooms sharing a bathroom.

But there are still alot of two person rooms out there, more than there are one person rooms.

Some post still have 3 and 4 person rooms.

  2. I don't know, but thanks for serving our country!

  3. Not always. My first barracks when I got to Ft Hood I had my own room to myself. The only thing I shared was a restroom and kitchen area with one guy. Then the next barracks I had after Iraq, I had a roomate that lived in the room with me, and we shared the restroom with 2 other guys, so 4 guys total usuing one shower and toilet. Not cool at all. I hated those barracks lol. It all depends on availability. It is a rumor that if you are a sergeant, (e5) you get to move off post. My first roomate I spoke about above, the one I just shared the restroom and kitchen area with. He was a e5. I also dated a sergeant who lived in  the barracks.

  4. Barracks, not dorms. And yes, if you are a lower enlisted, you will have a roommate. What a lot of places have now is a separate room but you have to share a bathroom and a little kitchen area with 1 other person. Once you become an NCO, some places have enough space where you get the whole setup to yourself...just depends on your duty station.
