I ship on WED. I don't have airborne in contract and was told that they look for volunteers during OSUT, this is untrue, I would like to talk to a career counselor to see if I could get it in my contract, is it too late?

  1. good luck in boot if you even make it.

  2. the first answer is totally right - stand you're ground -- it's your time you're giving up!

  3. No. Just threaten not to ship. Tell the CC that you wanted it in the contract but noticed the recruiter didn't get it in there.

You dont have to ship. It just voids the contract just so you know. Your test scores are good for three years. They will try to threaten you but dont listen to it. Your not in the Army till you graduate boot camp. Anything before that time is false enlistment. You dont even qualify for a re-enlistment code.

In other words, there are no repercussion's for not shipping.

  4. The first answer is completely correct. they will threaten you but you INSIST THAT YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SHIP BECAUSE YOUR NOT HAPPY WITH THE CONTRACT. Trust me they will take you back over there and let you talk to them. Even then the career counselor may try to tell you that what you want is not a possibility. You just tell them, thats fine. TELL THEM YOU ARE NOT SHIPPING UNTIL YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT ON THE CONTRACT........ITS NOW OR NEVER CAUSE ONCE YOU SHIP TO BASIC YOU CANT CHANGE IT............BUT YOU STILL CAN BEFORE YOU SHIP....DONT LET THEM BULLY YOU AROUND
