spit on the glass of the mask first

Just put a tiny bit of dishsoap on the inside of your mask and rub it all over the surface...

Anti-fog sprays don't work for more than about 10 seconds.

I suggest getting a mask with thermal lens (duel pane) if you don't already have one and a fan for the mask.  The fan will either pull in fresh air and push the moist air through the bottom or pull out the moister and fresh air through the bottom.

Is it the glasses or masks that steam up? I'd suggest maybe getting a pack of dailys lens' so that in situations like this you can use them.

My snowboarding goggles always make my glasses fog up, and i cant see brilliantly with lens', but i just make do with the dailys

Yeah man there is antifog stuff that you can buy either at walmart or dicksportinggoods!!

If you have a single-pane lens, apply some anti-fog treatment to the lens or upgrade to a thermal, dual-pane lens.

Since you wear glasses, I would also recommend investing in a goggle fan.  Depending on the brand of goggles you own, there are fans specifically available for different goggles (ie. JT Vortex II and Proto Turbine.)  If there is not one available for your specific goggle, there is always the option of making one yourself -- there are kits available or you can create one using a computer fan and 9v battery.
