I know the credits I earned will, but will my grades tacked on to these classes transfer as well? Or do I get a grade for my time at the community college and start afresh at the university?

  1. Are you referring to the grade you achieved in each individual class or your overall GPA?

What usually happens to the letter grade for each class is that it appears as a letter 'T' on your transcript and your GPA starts afresh. So it doesn't matter is you have a 4.0 or a 2.5, you still start from scratch.

  2. depends on the school... some will take an AA from a community college and give you jr status others will only pick and choose which classes to transfer.

  3. I'm not sure where you go to school, but most likely yes.  I went to school in Texas, and when I transferred schools, my credit hours and my grades transferred as well.  Your grades wont affect your semester GPA but they will still be there on you cumulative GPA.

  4. You may want to seek academic counseling at your school regarding the transferring of the credits and grades.

  5. there wont necessarily be a "posted grade" of the transfered credits. the university will see them but on the trascrips u get it will just say u received a credit and passed it

  6. Both... you will have  transfer credits & grades as well as institutional credits and grades. You will also have cumulative credits and grades.

  7. Usually your CC grades transfer in for the credits that are accepted.  Sometimes schools will not include the grades.  Check with YOUR school for the answer.
