When I harvest my garden can I freeze the extra beans & corn to use all winter?

  2. You freeze it hard.

  3. You can freeze them or can them in jars. I usually just blanch corn on the ear and throw them in the freezer. It all depends on your preferences. You can also preserve them by removing the kernels and either canning or freezing it that way. How you preserve the beans depends on what type of beans they are. Pintos are best preserved by drying on the vine and putting in an air tight container and storing in a cool dark cupboard. On the other hand, green beans are best either frozen or canned.

  4. Frozen veg needs to be properly prepared & blanched before being frozen.

    You could google instructions for timings, etc or look up in any good Grow your Own Vegetables book.
