I have one outlet behind the fridge then one on left side of sink (gfi) then I have one on the right side of the sink (want to change to gfi. But when I hit the test button the gfi goes out and the outlet behind the frige. Can I put the line wire's with the load wires to correct this problem???

  1. yes they r inline with each other but before taking the frig out of the loop make sure that the gfi is not protecting some other outlet in the loop that needs to be protected,........

  2. Yes this can be corrected, and gfi isn't required on the frig. Pull the gfi outlet out of the box. Remove the wires going to the refrigerator and attach them directly to the incoming line before the gfi outlet. and yes that would be the load of the other outlet with the supply line.

  3. It could be on the gfi circuit due to the ice maker connection and to prevent a sever electric shock when you would touch the handle of the fridge. It's a safety thing to have the gfi go off instead of having to flip a breaker I think I would leave it on the circuit. I think they all three should ne on the circut.

  4. that is because they are tied together, it will take out anything connected to that outlet...
