  1. You will set up a direct deposit into your bank account at basic. If you do not have an account, you can set one up at basic as well. They do not actually give you a check.

  2. The gov't does not have access to your account and cannot take money out of money already in your account. They can however take it out of your paycheck before they give it to you.

  3. in your bank account????

  4. Direct Deposit...if you do not have a bank account, they will provide you their credit union (for example: Marine Corps West Federal Credit Union - if you are in MCRD San Diego; Navy Federal Credit Unioni - If you are in the Navy. [Marines get this option while in the Fleet, after bootcamp and MOS school])

  5. direct deposit. depending on the brach you join they will set up an account for you and all your money will go into that account untill you change it, but the governement at any time has access to your account and may take out any money they feel they may have over paid you.
