When I look out to sea, all the ships are sitting on the horizon. How do they know where it is?

  2. They rush away as far as they can until they see you on the horizon -  then stop.

  3. you can see  so far ,  as everybody else.  That is was everybody see when  look out  far.  That is the horizon!!

  4. the horizon is just an imaginary line where the sky meets the ocean or the land, depending on where you're standing. It's like the equator and lines of latitude and longitude, they are IMAGINARY.
