When I make a cake,,the cake feels too fluffy and it falls apart when I bite into it, what am I doing wrong?

    1.Too little water

    2.Too much shortening  


  2. What kind of cake? Box, scratch, pound, sponge, layer?

  3. I assume you are making your own batter and not a box mix. are you following a recipe? and if so what kind of flour are you using?

  5. Maybe your batter wasn't moist enough. Are you following a recipe or is this a boxed cake mix?

    If it's falling apart maybe you should add another egg. Egg is what binds dry ingredients together in a recipe.
