When I make a left turn in my 1993 Oldsmobile Bravada, why does it sound like my truck is doin a drive-by?

It's like a popping or cranking type of sound on the passenger side. I think it's something like a tyrod end or something. Does it need lubed or replaced? whatever it is.....

PLEASE HELP!!!

  1. If you hear the popping sound only when the wheels are turning, it's probably a bad CV joint. If you hear it when the vehicle is sitting still, it could be a problem in the rack and pinion gear, or some other part of the turning linkage.

  2. sounds like a cv joint.

  3. Your right front CV joint is going out. Better get it into a front end shop before it leaves you stranded.

  4. Sounds like its your cv boot. Yeah you need to replace it. Depending on how long its been going on, you might just want to replace the driveshaft axle, its usually easier to do that instead of just replacing the cv boot.
