  1. Use yogurt!

  2. Try using apple juice instead of milk x

  3. Try blending it for less time.  If that doesn't work use plain yogurt instead of milk.

  4. Well, skim milk is a bit thin to use for smoothies. You should use something thicker like vitamin D or 2% milk. Thats what i always use when i make smoothies for my kids. Also your pieces of fruit may be too small. Hope this helps!

  5. I use low fat yoghurt rather than milk.

  6. You CAN use milk (yogurt does taste good too though).  You CAN also blend as long as you want if the consistency is right.  Your problem is that you are using too much "liquid" and not enough solid.  "Fresh" fruit blends up like a liquid, so people usually keep adding ice to make it thicker.  Problem is that it waters it down.  The trick is to FREEZE your fruit so that you get your solidity there and don't need much ice.  Smoothies should be approximately 1/2 liquid and 1/2 solid.  When you use fresh fruit, you are basically increasing the liquid and decreasing the solid.

  7. Crush everything up excluding the skim milk.  Add the skim milk at the end and mix with a spoon.

  8. dont use ice or fruit. my shakes come out smooth as milk

  9. add some low fat yogurt

  10. Your just blending it for too long which is letting too much air in!!

  11. Try using yoghurt or fruit juice instead of milk, milk is too light to blend, as you said you will just end up with a glass of froth, yoghurt or fruit juice is a heavier base and will also make it taste much nicer! Happy smoothie making!

  12. I use a lot of ice in mine, and I use some frozen fruit.  I also put in yogurt.  This may help.
