When the water is boiled there are also spots. Just recently there was a water problem, so they had to repair/replace some pipes. I was wondering what this is and if its safe.

  1. I'm not sure.  If there was a water problem recently, then I wouldn't take a chance.  I would buy bottled water or buy the britta water pitcher where you replace the filter ever three months, which is very cheap and it will filter out 99 percent of impurities in drinking water.

  2. that is not normal, water should not have any spots.it is probably bacteria, and a strong one too. because if you boil water it should be killing the bacteria, not producing it. i would recommend that you get a plumer. unless you put the tea in before you boil it, because if its a round little tiny dot ball that floats, then its completely normal. its just a piece of your tea, it wont harm you at all.
