I was doing 50 down a country highway following a car and went to pass at about 60-65 miles per hour...i pushed the pedal all the way to the floor and as I was just out in front of the car my vehicle made a loud "thud" noise, shimmied a bit but then just continued down the road as if nothing happened. No leakage of any type after this. Not able to reproduce the noise. The vehicle is a 2000 Mazda Millenia with 132,000 miles on it. Fluids are good. It is NOT the Miller Cycle engine model. Thanks for any help!

  1. Might be the motor mount transmission mount they could be worn out.

  2. If you had it floored, you probably sucked some water from your fuel filter.

  3. uhh you hit the car or a mansquito

  4. check your drive line sometimes that messes up....

  5. A good thing to check would be the engine mounts....when the engine leaps forward when its called upon...it may move the whole vehicle. Also check your transmission....It may be in need of a change...
