When I play a video (avi format) on my computer, there's sound but no video....how to make it work?

The sound works fine, but it shows the windows media player effects that play during a song instead of the video. How can I fix this, or is there another media player that is compatible?

you're probably missing the correct codec's. you can pick up a them inside of the k-lite codec pack
