It is a recent problem that hasn't always happened. I know it is a problem with the stylus but does this mean the stylus just needs cleaning or is it broken? (The stylus is only a couple days old but the problem only started today)

  1. That's the footsteps of dinosaurs coming to take their records back.

  2. maybe its bouncing the needle a bit from the bass. put a rubber mat or foam under the player. also maybe the counter-weight needs adjustment.

  3. if you got a brush of some sort like a paint brush use it to clean the needle off.  if that doesnt work try replacing the wires, your needle should have come with some.  if that doesnt work try putting a whole new cartidge on their if you have one and see if its still making that noise.  if that doesnt work then it might be something with your soundsystem.  its hard to tell though without being there and hearing it.  what needle you got and what tables are you using?

also it might be some sort of feedback your getting.  whats your soundsystem?
