Download the driver for the usb device

You gotta install the driver for the camera/usb. They should have a cd that came along with ur camera. Or go to ur camera brand website. Most of the time they have the drivers for downlaod at the Support/ driver section or download

What is the brand and make of camera?

Did it come with a driver install CD and did you install it?

If not, Use brand and model # on web site - http://www.driverguide.com

Find driver needed for your camera.

Download

Execute ( Run install Program)

Go to control panel -> system -> device manager

Look for the name of you camera in imaging devices

double click and choose update driver, use driver you downloaded from

http://www.driverguide.com

Hard reboot - turn off and on by switch

you can use another usb port on your computer, check on the back of the computer or the front, plug it in, and if it still says usb device not recognized, then that means the computer is just saying that it does not SEE a USB Device, or maybe the usb is bad. or something.

try to donload the camras softwhere

You need to install the software that came with the camera.  If you no longer have the software, go to Google and search:  Download Software (and then type in the camera make/model).

Try using a different USB cord or port.  For some reason that particular port isn't recognizing the camer's cord.
