When I post to my yahoo group, why does my message formatting look strange?

I use Entourage for Mac. I've tried using HTML and also turning it off. I wrote a message in Word and saved it as text only, and copied it to my email window, but that didn't work either. My messages show up (after I've posted) with odd spaces and symbols when I use dashes, apostrophes and quote marks. Any help to make my messages more readable is appreciated! Thanks!

Why not use the TextEdit program that comes with a Mac, then copy the text from there to your e-mail window?  I don't have Entourage on my Mac, but I have seen some programs encode apostrophes and quote marks differently, which is probably what is causing your problem.  I have used TextEdit for this without any problem.
