When I put a DVD into my computer it won't play.?

When I put a DVD into my computer Windows Media Player comes up with a window that says it can not play the DVD because a compatible dvd decoder is not installed on the computer. How do I get this DVD to play??? Do I have to buy something?

  1. your best bet is to play it in a regular DVD player. otherwise you'll have to uninstall and re-install the dvd program with the original drivers or find an updated version.


  2. In order to play a movie on your media player you must buy a DVD BURNER. Some burners are for cd's only. What you want is CD/DVD burner player. The price range is from $30 dollars and up.

    you can try the shareware/trial versions to see if it solves your problem.
