When I put my laptop on my lap...?

When I put my laptop on my lap, occasionally (including now) i get short, sharp stinging sensations, which then start to itch. What is this? It doesn't happen every time I use my laptop, but often enough for it to become annoying. So... what is this? Is it serious? Whyyyyyy?

Muscle spasms - too much time imobile , with a weight pressing on them, cuts the blood flow and creates blood clots. It you stay like that a long time it can kill you, no joke.
