I came across this poem on the web and I think it pretty good depicts the attitude christians should have.

What do you think of it?

When I say "I am a Christian"

by Carol Wimmer

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not shouting "I am saved",

I'm whispering "I get lost!"

That is why I chose this way.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I don't speak of this with pride.

I'm confessing that I stumble

And need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not trying to be strong.

I'm professing that I'm weak

And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not bragging of success.

I'm admitting I have failed

And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not claiming to be perfect,

My flaws are too visible,

But God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I still feel the sting of pain.

I have my share of heartaches,

Which is why I seek His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian

I do not wish to judge,

I have no authority.

I only know I'm loved.

  4. I like it...especially this part:

    "My flaws are too visible,

But God believes I'm worth it."

  5. it is ok but there is such a weakness in it - it shows this person to be a new christian and has much to overcome yet

  6. G-A-Y!!!!!!!!!!!!  to the 18th power!!!!!!!!!  Is there anything in the galaxy more annoying than a Christian?

  8. Beautiful poem indeed!!

A Christian does not indulge in pride. He is meek. Not relying on his own strength and abilities. Instead, he completely trusts and  relies in God. The poem  vividly describes these fine qualities.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hoping someone composes another poem with the following Christian qualities/ministry as theme:

    Matthew 11:28-30; Matthew 24:14; 28:19,20; Luke 4:43; John 13:35; John 17:14; John 17:17; 4:23.
