When I send an email to a group I never receive it in my inbox?

Unless you are sending it yourself too, you won't get it.  You have to add your address to the rest of the groups addresses.

you should get your own post back- if you're using gmail and other providers too, they by default think you don't want a copy back in your in-box. there's a setting within the mail provider to change that.
