When I send emails to a yahoo group, they end up in a possible spam folder. How can I change this?

One of the listowners on a list I'm on told me this. I have posted things to various lists that never appear. These lists are not moderated so that's not the issue.

  1. The listowner must check the spam folder on their group to see if any legitimate messages have been captured by the spam filter.  If he/she doesn't check and mark then "Not Spam", after a short time, those captured emails are deleted.

There's really nothing you can do to change the situation except email the group owners and ask them to turn off their group's Spam Filter.

Some don't know how to do that so you can add the following good instructions for turning it off.

Owner should sign in to the group.

    Click Management

    Under Group Settings, click "Messages".

To the right of Posting and Archives, click Edit.

In the Spam Filtering column, select "Off".

    Click Save changes.

  2. if there is no active owner or moderator of that group, and if your posts are going to the groups spam snatcher- there needs to be someone there to approve it or it'll stay there for who knows how long. this makes no difference to moderation or not. the spam snatcher grabs e-mails that are not spam, it's faulty and this could be the reason.

there are multiple reasons for why your posts never post.

I would send an e-mail to the owners group address, located at the bottom of every group, and ask them to check the groups logs and groups spam folder-

  3. If it was a very large group, that makes sense.  Think about it.
