When I sing my songs on the piano.?

Question

As a smooth jazz singer and piano player, is it okay to play my piano jazz chords with the left hand and sing the melody and not play anything with my right hand?

i think it's okay, but playing with both hands would surely make it sound better...

I guess its OK.  You could play a much more interesting piano part if you used both hands, but I guess if you're not a very good piano player, you do what you can.
