When I spped up,I get this hard jerks and grinding noise.

how do I go about figuring out what is making this noise without a costly diagnosis. 1999 ford expedition 4x4 eddie bauer

  1. Sounds like the transmission to me. Possibly a torque converter issue? I had that happen with a blazer I owned and it definitely didn't run right and made noises like a shutter. That's all I can think of.
