This only happens sometimes, not every time I stand up but I would still like to know why. I'm going to mention it next time I'm at the opticians but I'm not going for about a month so would like some opinions now. Thanks :)

  1. Go to your eye doctor and family doctor right away.

If you have myopia which is the fancy term for near sighted, then you are at high risk for retinal detachment.

Retinal detachment can be corrected with surgery to preserve the sight, but if you don't do anything about it right away, you will be blind forever.

You could be suffering from orthostatic hypotension, which is low blood pressure.

Please see your eye doctor and doctor.

    I hope everything is ok.

  2. It could be from standing up too quickly a sudden drop in blood pressure can cause you to  have these symptoms .

to find out if this is the case have somenoe take your blood pressure lying down, sitting then standing and compare the readings . you can take them to your dr with you.

  3. this has happened to me throughout my life. i was told it has something to do with blood/sugar and possibly poor circulation.
