as for the coke thing, i was just saying that if you stop drinking it suddenly when you have been drinking a lot of it you will have caffeine withdrawals which will be uncomfortable.

  1. Caffeine withdrawal is horrible, really bad headaches, dizziness and a general feeling of lethargy

  2. it is very true,  you should reduce your intake slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms.

  3. yes, caffeine is addicting, and depending on how much you consider alot, it can be really unpleasant to get off the junk

  4. If you do drink a lot of caffeine a day..and just quit you can have withdrawls..its a drug..

you can start to get headaches, you can become restless..find it impossible to function properly...go through hot and cold flashes...

    its not fun

  5. I've experienced them myself, as have most graduate students who load up on coffee to survive finals.

It is true that you will go through caffeine withdrawals, and they are very uncomfortable.

Caffeine withdrawal is accompanied by migraine, mild fatigue, and irritability. Whenever I skip my morning cup of coffee, I'm a beast.

Fortunately, they only last few days, and can be alleviated by headache pills that contain some caffeine like Excedrin. In the long run,the benefits of giving up coke outweigh the few days of misery.

  6. This is very true for some people. If you drink loads of it over quite a long time your body will miss the caffeine if you just try and stop it right away. Probably a good way to fool your brain is to try drinking the caffeine-free variety for a while, then cut down til you don't feel you need it anymore. But some people just really enjoy the coke fizz. It's weird, I think they put some other kind of addictive substance in there. I can't seem to go without it too long either. But I'm down to just one a day now. lol :-)

  7. it's probley true if you think about it you do get addicted i knew a girl who always took caffeine pills and she was so addicted to them she ended up taking them all the time s**+* does happen you know

  8. Not An Idiot!! This is actualy true!!

Coke is addictive & when you suddenly stop drinking it after drinking it 4 so long you get withdrawl symptoms: shaking, sore heads and dizzy spells.

  9. Idiot

  10. not true at all, my friend drank 2 bottles a day since he was 11,now hes 18 and given up, he seems healthier, without withdrawall

  11. It is true.  You need to come off it steadily - like any other drug, caffeine is addictive.  There was an article about it on Street Doctors last night!

  12. Yes, that's true (kind of).

Caffeine has been proven to be an addictive narcotic, just like nicotine or alcohol (though not addictive or destructive).  People who ingest caffeine regularly, like those who drink a lot of soda or coffee, can become addicted.

When those addicted people stop ingesting caffeine, they can experience withdrawal symptoms, just like those who are trying to get off other drugs.  They normally include fatigue and irritability, which are both uncomfortable.

Most people are able to ingest caffeine without becoming seriously addicted, but it does happen, so he's not an idiot.

    Hope this helps . . .

  13. Well idiot may be a bit harsh lol. Actually when you do drink alot of caffeine no matter where the caffeine comes from... and then you suddenly stop drinking it all together it can cause headaches. But that is only temporary.

  14. Once I did get migranes so did my MIL.

  15. Yeah if you brank about 24 cans a day maybe, i once drank too much coffiee when I was pulling an all nighter at Uni, was horrid, I thought I was going to die really.
