When I tried to load the DVD from my Sony video camera using the aimersoft dvd ripper it didn't work?

the error says "this isn't a valid IFO file" please help

that's the bad thing with buying a DVD camcorder.  I was reading that you can take the video, but you can't put it on your comp and edit it. so i dunno...

Consider using the software included with Sony DVD cameras, Picture Package. The DVD viewer works very well for taking files off the DVD.

If you do not have this software, you can also use Handbrake, an open-source, free program available at http://handbrake.fr/

(Note that this program will only capture the whole DVD as one file instead of as multiple files,one for each clip)

You may try other dvd convert such as cucusoft dvd burner. I always use it to convert DVD, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works nice for me.
