I open My PhotoImpression 5 and try to open a folder to get a picture from. It shows my files and folders, but when I click on them, nothing happens. Then, when I go to the top and click file/get photo, It says The File Can Not Be Open. It is Invalid. Why is this so, and how can I fix it?

  1. it means the file extension ( jpg, gif, tif, png,...) is not a picture file that can be used by that program, check file extensions allowed, and use other tools to convert correctly, check manual and file name, if image is png, may be jpg  , if image is raw type from camera, then you would convert to jpg, then open in photoImpression,

so if file says "dscoo1.raw", or  says "image.png" those may require other program to view and save copy as jpg,

there may be other reasons unknown at this time,

IrfanView may be able to view,

    http://www.irfanview.com/

Gimp ~photo editor, has others options,

    http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.h...

but if you program doesn't see it , the file may just may be corrupt/ bad and not viewable
