I have two 12" sony xplods with a 1200 w amp. Amp light is on and all other speakers work just fine. The subs are new and I never bump them too much.

  1. It how there wired> rewire to the amp then they will work>And turn off with the amp>

  2. You need to run a relay with the remote wire to the amplifier. The problem is that you radio does not provide enough voltage to turn both amps on. Connect the remote wire from the radio to the relay, then run a wire to each amp from the relay. This will definitely solve your problem. Also make sure your subs are hooked up correctly(Ohms).

  3. it's the wiring no doutb

  4. Run a fused (1 amp, 14 AWG) wire from a fuse in the fuse panel that only has power when the car is ON to one side of a switch. From the other side of the switch run the same sized wire to the REM (remote) connection on the amp.

This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp. The switch is so you can turn off the amp at will so as not to give grandma a heart attack in the car.

You can find fuse taps and in-line fuse holders at any autoparts store.

  5. Your alternator is weak.

  6. Is your amp wired to the acc.from a fuse?this will make the amp turn on only when your key is in the acc. mode on the ign. switch.

  7. Sounds like the wires are crossed. Either rewire, or get someone to check it for you. It has to be in the wiring if it works when it's off.
