When I turn on my LCD TV it appears to slowly "warm up" (like get brighter slowly). Is this normal?

My TV seems to work great, but Iv recently noticed that when i turn it on, the colors are dull and soft, and then within a few minutes it gets brighter and brighter. Its not really a big deal, but Id just like to know if this is normal for an LCD television.

Hmm...that's a bit interesting. If you have a projection LCD tv, I would say that's normal...but a flat panel LCD shouldn't really do that. i would contact the manufacturer about it and find out if it's a normal thing or it might be something wrong with the backlight in the panel.

my lcd tv does the same thing. it takes about 25 seconds to fully warm up.

odd, that never happens to me, i guess the size of the screen might also have something to do with it, and also how well the electricity goes through your home...but that is just a guess
