When I turn on my computer IM automatically loads. How can I stop this?

Start-->Run-->type msconfig and press enter. Click startup tab and uncheck aim, yahoo, or msnmsgr or whatever Im program you wish to stop. Be careful though because if you stop the wrong item and it is a file windows needs to start you could really mess up your computer. It's safer to just go into the program options for each IM program and stop it from running on startup. Hope this helps.

Go to Start>Run>type msconfig.OK. Click Start-up tab. Under Start-up items, uncheck the box of IM. expand the details if necessary. Click Apply and OK. Restart your computer.

start > run > type msconfig > startup > uncheck msn... dont remember it exactly but i know it has msn maybe msnmessanger blah blah or yahoo
